Leti is the Brand Ambassador who works closely with the CEO and External Comms to promote The Doula Association. As the Brand Ambassador she is the external contact for the organisation to network and knock on the doors of stakeholders. Ultimately increasing the organisation’s brand awareness and generating new opportunities.
Leti is extremely passionate about getting the message out there about doulas and getting them a seat at the table with other stakeholders. Her love for negotiating and building strong relationships drives and keeps her going in the face of the challenges that dealing with big institutions and complicated political situations bring.
Leti started her career working at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a Sales representative. During her time with them she was responsible for promoting the Pfizer brand and its products in hospitals and Primary Care Trusts across the UK. She built a vast level of experience in negotiating with key decision makers in NHS Trusts. Credibility is key when dealing with healthcare professionals and her evidence based approach was a key factor to her success.
Following her time at Pfizer, she set up a family business where she was responsible for the sales and marketing as well as working closely with the in-house PR Director. The client list was very extensive from most Fortune 500 companies to smaller start-ups that then grew to be some of the most successful companies in the UK. Her company was featured in all mainstream media including full pages in national newspaper as well as several appearances on the BBC.
Following the sale of her business she is now able to focus her energy and passion in the birth world. She is an experienced doula and Doula Mentor/Coach as well as a volunteer doula for charities that offer doulas to refugees and asylum seekers.
Leti holds a Chemistry and Management Science degree from the University of Warwick & Warwick Business School.
